Educational qualification
1. A candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of its equivalent with 45% of marks in aggregate.
2. The 45% of marks in the Higher Secondary examination will be inclusive of first improvement only.
3. For scheduled caste and scheduled tribe applicants ,a mere pass in the Higher Secondary examination is enough.
4. The applicant is eligible for admission in Diploma in teacher Education course for the medium in which he/she has studied. The candidate applying for any medium(Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam or Urdu) most have studied that language under Part-I or Part-II up to +2, or as medium of instruction in that language in Part-III. Those who opt for English medium in the DTE course in Anglo Indian Teacher Training Institute must have studied through English medium up to XII std and those who wish to study Tamil as a language in Anglo Indian Teacher Training Institute must have studied Tamil in Part-I or II up to +2
