Eligibility for Under Graduate Courses (B.Tech)

• A pass in HSc / Pre-degree with a minimum of 40% in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
• A pass in H.Sc (Vocational stream) with a minimum 40% marks in Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry as one of the main subjects.
• A pass in H.Sc Academic / Vocational for SC/ST candidates.
• Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with a maximum of TWO attempts for General and THREE for SC/ST.
• Candidates may also seek admission with marks scored in the FIRST improvement examination.
• The upper age limit is 21 years ( relaxable by THREE years for SC/ST candidates).

Entrance Examination

Candidates should have written the Common Entrance Test conducted by CENTAC (or) AIEEE (or) CETPPEC Registered Association Examination of Self- Financing Engineering Colleges in Pondicherry.

For direct admission to Second Year B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

• 60% marks in aggregate in the SECOND & THIRD YEAR (from third semester to sixth semester) diploma courses.
• The upper age limit is 24 years (relaxable by THREE years for SC/ST candidates.

Eligibility for Master of Computer Applications

Eligibility

Candidates who have secured 55% of marks or above in

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications/ Commerce/ Corporate Secretary ship/ Business Administration ( with Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Application as one of the subject).
  (OR)
• Bachelor's degree in Science with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects are eligible.

Entrance Examination

Candidates should have written the Common Entrance Test conducted by CENTAC (or) AIEEE (or) Registered Associations of Self- Financing Engineering Colleges.

Eligibility for Master of Business Administration

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed any Bachelor degree and secured 55% of marks.

Eligibility for M.Tech – Computer Science & Engineering

Candidates for admission to the first semester of four semester M.Tech course in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Distributed Computing Systems should have passed B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology or M.C.A or an examination of any university or authority accepted by the Pondicherry University as equivalent thereto, with an at least 55% marks in aggregate in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA.

Eligibility for M.Tech – Electronics & Communication Engineering

Candidates for admission to the first semester of four semester M.Tech course in Electronics & Communication Engineering should have passed B.E/ B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation or Electrical & Electronics or Computer Science & Engineering or an examination of any university or authority accepted by the Pondicherry University as equivalent thereto, with an at least 55% marks in aggregate in the degree examination or equivalent CGPA.
